I have stayed here many times and its just like the rest of the HPs. From the reviews that I have read about the Sheraton, its nothing special and that's why I always opt for the HP. The HP use to give Diamonds gift bags at check-in, not sure if they still do. The HP has a TGIF restaurant that you can walk to, which I like. Both hotels are right on the freeway so ask for a room on the opposite side of the hotel.

Thats great to know the new Sheraton Phoenix Downtown has a spectacular reputation but is more expensive.
My concern is just as you state noise
Which can a terrible problem with many of the older Amerisuites.I am surprised Hyatt didn't make any effort to improve noise proofing or require it with the property owners
Was it quiet on the other side of the property?And i sthe location good if one doesnt have a car.I am thinking about renting
