I did not know that airlines used sections for flights (railroads used sections many times. Once the 20th CENTURY LIMITED ran in 7 sections!)

As my post stated, all my examples were AA-specific!

Airlines use 'extra sections' if a route has an additional flight, if for example, the previous days' flight was cancelled.
