Nothing happened for a while. Then he came on and said they found some issues with the repair. So, we had to open the door again for a maintenance guy to come onboard. It didn't take long after that for us to get going.
To me, this sounds like there was some problem, a mechanic came and did a repair he thought would fix the problem, it turned out that, upon further testing, it didn't solve the problem, so he needed a second try. That's quite familiar to anybody who's tried to repair something and airplanes and their mechanics aren't immune to it.
