Whilst doing some research today, I came across a couple of interesting articles in Business Weekly.
The first article is about how trade chiefs in Silicon Valley are exploring the possibility of opening a link from SJC to STN. The article is dated July 16th 2002, so I assumed it was an old and very out of date article.
However, after probing a little more, I found the second article dated just *6* days ago (August 5th 2003). This article talks about how
Microsoft Research and the
Pi Group spend hundreds of millions of pounds each year on their UK-US travel spend.
So, I put it to you - Do you think American could make this route work? Is it
really a viable option? Is there anyone here from SJC that may have heard about this?
In case anyone is wondering, I'm very interested in this news because I worked for American back in 1992/3 when we flew Stansted-Chicago service. I was a Passenger Service Agent who normally worked the gate and departure coordinator positions. I loved working at STN and would dearly love to see AA service return to my local airport.
