I stayed at the aloft Chennai this past week and was quite impressed.

* New and clean (for India).
* Good staff; ready to help; great attitudes
* Good location if you are working at companies along the IT Expressway
* Good rate

The only negative I saw was that the "fit and finish" was unfortunately typical Indian, such as paint all over the floor tiles, poor cuts on wall tiles in the bathroom, etc. Otherwise it was a very comfortable stay.

For me, however, it is not a convenient location to my office so I will be returning to the Chola. If my office were closer to the Georgetown area I would not hesitate to use the aloft as my base.
