I put a ticket on hold, then while negotiating the final details of the trip with the client, I got a Business Extraa promotional email. I had never heard of it before.
I went ahead and joined, then purchased the ticket that was on hold. I saw no place to enter a Business Extraa number. I phoned their help desk, and the agent put the Business Extraa number in my reservation.
So, in answer to various question on this thread, yes, you can add the BE number after the fact.
I do have a question:
No reason not to join. You'll probably be able to earn ≈2500 BE pts per year (points are based on base fares, but are doubled unless you originate DFW or MIA).
In the BE website, it says points are doubled at 200 airports, excluding DFW and MIA. I can't find, anywhere, what airports are INCLUDED.
Specifically: LAX
Anyone know?
Finally, what's to stop me from getting my friends (non-employees) with Aadvantage accounts to enter my BE number and give me points? I did not see that in the T&C, but could have missed it.
