My average call time with AP is over an hour because all my AP bookings have quite complicated itineraries. From AP's perspective, charging $30 for an hour of the agent's time on the phone is not really making them much money.
Guess I was comparing it to the Internet, the double standard in the number of stops allowed between the phone and internet sounds like a gimmick.
Luckily my trips involving stops n multiple carriers usually take 10 mins to complete
