I've read here that The Andaman and The Datai are both too isolated.
Malaysian hotels are not that expensive.. for luxury. I searched around and found that Mr & Mrs Smith chain has a lovely property called Bon Ton which they consider 'budget'. You might want to consider that. Otherwise the chain also represent The Datai.
