At more and more properties recently I have noticed a two tier internet access. One very slow one for the Platinums and other free entitlements. One faster one for those who pay. At the Sheraton Sopot a couple weeks ago i complained about that because the slow one could not download my large work files and they comped me the higher speed one. That should not be necessary, but at least they're responsive when a specific complaint is made.

It seems to me that these days every decent hotel should have at lead 5MB downloads free. Maybe I'm spoiled by my 100MB at home, but files are getting so much larger and so much more time-critical that slow connections are excruciating now. Five years ago these were probably OK, but that's an eternity...
