Somehow I expected a small firestorm as I wrote my fatal words trivializing Montenegro. I know it was unforgivable to not even mention the Aman, which drew the appropriate consternation from Vuittons, among others. The coastline almost anywhere along the Adriatic is stunning, with that I agree. I am a great fan of Split, obviously, and I can and do spend a couple days there happily wandering around. Of course there's no Aman.
