While in Staples I spotted a Targus Power Inverter that is labelled as providing 90 watts. As my relatively new Compaq Laptop requires 90 watts and I have yet to see a power adaptor for my Compaq, I may get this power inverter. I would think it would work fine. Comes with airplane and car plugs - I presume on AA you use the the car plug. BTW, price was $59.98. Model no. is PAPWR005U.</font>
I'm not sure if that would make a difference. As TxLobo has stated, the airplane systems are set a maximum of 75 Watts. If this inverter (which I believe was designed for use with a car an no consideration for aircraft was made in the design) tries to draw more than that, the outlet will limit the power delievery. This isn't very difficult to do at all and involves very few electronic components.
