Input voltage for in seat power

I apologize in advance if this topic has been discussed. I looked for a thread on this specific topic, but came up empty handed.

I have almost no knowledege of how DC voltage and current works (fell asleep in physics class), however, specific to AA, they state they have power ports with 15 Volts of output.

My question: If I take my mini DVD player and use the manufacturer's supplied car adpater (which I believe is for a car's 12 volts?) will this work, or will it be fried? I know DC output in cars are somwhat variable themselves, but I wanted to make sure I don't need another power adapter prior to my journeys with my toys.

Thanks!
