At 30 weeks, I would guess that she'll be obviously pregnant even to a casual observer. This being the case, an obviously pregnant woman arriving in the US may get some grief from DHS if the officer believes that she's coming to the US to give birth, even if she otherwise has a valid visa and is otherwise eligible for admission.

We are both US citizens. Only hiccup in giving birth in the US would be the quick turnaround time for a passport for the little tyke. It will be easier for us to obtain a passport at the US embassy in Beijing than in the States as we have friends in the embassy and it is located less than a mile away from our apartment.
Plus if we have the kid in China then the kid will be half-Chinese...sweet!
