You can bring back 8.5 litres of beer into Canada, subject to the age restrictions of your province / territory. 24 cans are likely 12 litres, so you may want to reduce your quantity accordingly, or declare it, or say nothing. Back in the good old days, I sometimes brought back an entire flat of cans from Germany in my carry-on luggage (20 cans x 0.5 litres).
