Is this a good AS miles redemption rate on DL?
Hi all,

I want to fly my sister out to HNL via LAX using AS miles. Flying AS is out of the question since it would require routing through SEA and an overnight stay on the return leg.

DL has slightly better redemption rates compared to AA (45k vs 40k for flights to HNL), so I'm thinking of using 40k miles with DL. The retail cost of the flight is $420 after taxes. Is that a good redemption rate for the money I'd be saving? Or am I better off saving the miles in order to get a better mile/dollar redemption rate?
