I think you may have more luck finding someone who speaks Mandarin - I doubt the QF concierge does. Either wait til you get to HKG and ask one of the agents in The Wing (though it's predominantly Cantonese which is spoken here) or call ahead to your hotel in TPE and ask for their help.
