I think you are getting off cheaply. Most cheap ex EUR fares (and certainly at the sort of level you are paying) charge €200 for a stopover (as defined above) and you will have to pay the UK APD on a CE ticket (as explained above), which is probably at least €50, if not more by the time you are flying.
