Hi all,
I had two problems on my most recent trip with JetBlue, SEA-LGB-IAD, on September 17th-18th (the LGB-IAD was a red-eye). I need help figuring out how to handle each problem.
1.) I booked our tickets (my wife and I were on this trip) when the schedule first opened up. Originally we were going to go SEA-JFK-IAD, but JetBlue had a schedule change and we would have had an unusually long layover in JFK so we were switched to SEA-LGB-IAD.
I bought EML for the SEA-JFK leg when I first bought the ticket. The cost was $35 per seat or $70 for the trip. When I was rebooked the first agent made a mistake and gave me EML on SEA-LGB but not LGB-IAD. I called back and this was fixed or so I thought.
Fast forward to the 16th. I checked in and decided to buy EML seats for SEA-LGB. I get to the confirmation screen and it asks me to pay $150. $50 for each of us to have the EML seats I already paid for and $25 each for the new EML seats SEA-LGB. I called a CSR but was told they couldn't help me.
Is there anyone I can contact at JetBlue for a refund of $100 (the two seats I was double charged for), or am I better off challenging the charge through Citibank?
2.) During the trip itself we landed on-time at LGB. Since we only had a 1.5 hour layover I was hoping we could grab dinner inside the terminal. Until we spent 20 minutes sitting on the taxiway waiting for a pad to open. When we did get inside there were over 40 people in line for the one bar-restaurant inside security. Ok, fine, we'll just get snack boxes on the plane. After all, the flight is over 3.5 hours. Nope, even though we asked a gate agent whether the red-eyes are loaded with snack boxes (and she said they were) our flight from LGB-IAD did not have snack boxes loaded. So...no food other than Terra Blues (good but not really a meal

) until we got to Dulles.
The first issue is obviously the big one. I'm unhappy that JetBlue fell down on this one. And need it fixed.
The second issue is just an inconvenience. I'm not sure it's even worth writing to JetBlue (through the website) because I'm sure they know that LGB is worse than many third world airports, and their knowledge that my flight did not have snack boxes loaded is not going to do anything.
