If the wife isn't able to fly back to PEK due to her pregnancy would this qualify as a "case of illness"? And would my change fee also be waived?
I doubt pregnancy will qualify as an illness. However, others might know better.

You already knew she is pregnant. Its not something that happened just before she planned to take the flight.
