I wasn't intending to credit to M&M; I'm looking for an alternative with achievable *G thresholds. I agree the destination miles (about 11k) are better in DC than M&M (until...), but I would lose the 11k status miles when my year resets in Dec.

Thanks for the feedback that this "switch" is do-able; I entered my DC details at booking, so would have to get this changed at check-in in MIA on return.

Thanks Leedsflyer, but UA appears to be calendar year based; I'm looking to eke value out of these status miles with a rolling-year programme if possible.
