I saw a LAN Airline A340 flight SYD-AKL for $79 USD one-way not too long ago. Qantas and Air New Zealand fly this route as well obviously, but their fares are more expensive than LAN or Emirates.

Just take DL to SYD. Then enjoy a paid flight on either LAN Airlines or Emirates (I'd definately go for the A380!) to AKL.
