BTW one AA CSR said that there was 'N' inventory for SFO-LAX-IAD but that it was a companion fare. I couldn't find that fare published anywhere either. But in that instance, Galileo was correct. 'N' inventory was available but AA.com, Travelocity and Expedia don't list the fare.</font>
There is no discrepancy. Just because there is no L fare for SFO-IAD doesn't mean there is no SFO-LAX L fare or a LAX-IAD L fare or a HNL-LAX-IAD L fare.
Ditto for JFK-SFO. There could be a L fare for LHR-SFO via JFK.
