I'm doing an EWR - IAH - SJC and back this Fri/Sat. Fares for this itin have generally been as low as just over $200 before taxes. Gets me around 6K miles, enough to solidify Gold (bye bye Plat after around 7 years of it).

Right now, they are bottoming out at $318 so you have to keep checking as the lower fares tend to change/show up/drop off every day.
