If this is your first #1 Gold rental there will be some paperwork but not a fair amount. Make sure your online profile is up to date so it's more of a confirming thing than anything else, they just verify your address, your credit card, etc instead of having to type it all in. It probably won't take long at all. I don't remember if there's a gold counter there or not, if there is the line will probably be shorter. Your reservation will say which type of service to expect above the reservation details.

If you have rented as a #1 Gold before you will see your name on a display, get in your car and drive to the gate without any paperwork other than showing your license on the way out.

Make sure to check the car for damage before you head out if you are not taking the insurance. There are people who ignore the do not drive rental cars on this part of the road warnings and you may have some dings and scratches from rocks or whatever. Check the windshield for any chips too, and make sure they mark those down so you don't get stuck with them when you return.
