It's up to the hotel, but in all the times I've done it they have never had me move the room. I did ask once and the 14 year old behind the counter said they try to keep people in the same room, but sometimes they can't (family reunion taking up a bunch of adjoining rooms for example), but if you ask when you check in they should be able to get you a room you don't have to leave.
