Moreover, If you are an elite member there is no cost to change/cancel an award reservation. As such, if they refuse (which they won't) you can just cancel and re-book.
That's only half true - it only applies to PMs and DMs; GMs and SMs have to fork up a fee that recently went up to $150 (it was $100 before).
