The spiffiest and newer planes are on the international and the main domestic routes (i.e. HAN-SGN) and they are all very fine--mostly Airbus. I've flown domestically on Vietnam Airlines on the ATR's and they are a bit older but OK, pretty reliable aircraft. I wouldn't hesitate to fly them again within VN.
