One of my favorite hotels on the planet is in Downtown Orlando: The Grand Bohemian. I have not had the opportunity to stay there since it became a Marriott (Autograph Collection) property, but they do now have a CL. It's in downtown Orlando, not in the tourist area, so you should be able to get a good rate during the holidays.
The art, furniture and ambiance at the Grand Bohemian is very comfortable Eastern European. The service it top-notch. Downtown Orlando has a little bit of funky, cool vibe.
+1 on Grand Bohemian - I used to be a huge fan of this property as a Westin and I hope to return there someday with it now a Marriott. I really missed this property when it left Starwood - until that point it had been our preferred destination there whenever we didn't need a full condo-style setup.
It had a wonderful lounge when it was a Westin. I don't know if they kept the lounge post-Westin or will have it/bring it back as a Marriott.
Thornton Park - walking distance from this hotel - is one of our favorite parts of Orlando.
