Not to hijack your thread, but on a slightly related topic I found that AC is odd when asking for a return price to JNB. ITA gave me an amazing fare for a particular weekend in November using a combination of AC/LH/SA. I bought it on Orbitz. AC.com would not give me that fare, it gave a much higher fare on a combination of AC and BA, apart from the higher fare it was of no value to me as I would get no AE status mile on the BA leg. Wierd! Why would AC not include LH or SAA in its pricing quotes, both being Star Alliance partners?
