Love is much smaller than DFW and is closer to downtown Dallas. Southwest flies of out Love but not out of DFW. Also, Love is the only airport with a dog collar attached to it. If you're flying out of Love, you can only fly to cities within Texas and the adjoining states. Since there's no long-haul competition with Southwest, DFW fares are much higher than fares from other major Texas cities. Love is the only airport in the nation with such a federal restriction. Just one of the joys of living in the area.
