First off, I try to avoid connecting at both DFW and IAH (they both suck!). Secondly, I think AA is a superior carrier to Crapinental. However, I think IAH is a superior facility to DFW -- even though it’s in dire need of a facelift (I guess it’s going to get one after Concourse E is completed). My reasoning:
  • At IAH, I can get from the NW gates to the furthest CO gate within 15 minutes, even though I have to take the TerminaLink (however, this doesn’t apply if you have a connection at the furthest international Gates… the walk from one side of the international terminal to the other can take twenty minutes by itself!). At DFW, I get stuck on the trAAin for 15 minutes.
  • IAH hasn’t been overcome by RJ (yet) but DFW has. DL is flying them to ONT, SNA and OAK!
  • Many food choices at IAH with reasonable prices. Wendy’s even has a $1.09 Value Menu!
  • The smell of candy, pop and popcorn (being cooked throughout IAH) nicely conceals the smell of pollution.
  • The employees are much, much, much friendlier at IAH – at DFW, they speak Texan.

Just my opinion…
