Any idea what the outcome of this was, in terms of whether transfers of fewer than 100 SPG points generated a hit? I foolishly transferred one point yesterday and could do 100 to be sure, but would prefer to keep saving for a SPG award.

From the T&Cs it looks like only stays, but it's a new requirement this year so I'm not sure anyone can say for sure until bonuses start posting. I think the purpose of the rule is to avoid people spending a dollar at a starwood hotel restaurant and getting several hits. That wouldn't apply to transfers, so it shouldn't matter unless there's something in the computer system that makes it problematic.
If I were an SPG plat and could transfer less than 1500 points, to be on the safe side, I'd probably do 100 just out of an abundance of caution. One point *should* work, but for 99 points, it just wouldn't be worth worrying about for me since it's a 1:1 transfer anway, and while I value SPG points more highly than USAir miles, for 99 points it really wouldn't be worth fretting over for me.
