How far ahead do people usually book MR's? 1 month? 331 days? Reason I'm asking is that I'll need 5-8k worth of MR's to make 1P, and due to long biz trips, I could do that either in November, or during the last two weeks of the year.

I'm based in YYZ, which is a pretty crappy place to start a MR anyway, at least from all the searching on farecompare/kayak explore I've done. Even with BUF as my base, I haven't been able to get anything under 6c/EQM.

Should I risk waiting a few weeks, to see if there are any last minute fares/fare wars, or should I just go for the best MR I can find as of today?
