The "emergency" wasn't worth $300 to you?? If I had been in similar circumstances and felt the matter to be that urgent, rather than just a whim, I wouldn't have blinked at paying the additional amount.

Almost everyone requesting a change has some compelling reason. In fairness to everyone, it's best that everyone be treated equally.
