Last year, after New Years Day, my credit card miles did not post as soon as they usually do. I actually needed the miles to take a last-minute personal trip to help a sick family member. I was about 2500 short of 25K.
I called Customer Service, explained my situation. After some investigation, the supervisor agreed that there was some glitch in posting my credit card miles, probably due to the New Year. She kindly gave me 3000 miles so I could get my ticket and fly the next day.
