A few days ago due to weather at SFO my 1st flight departed over 2 hours late. We landed right as my connecting flight was supposed to depart. The monitors showed the flight was closed but I decided to run anyway since I really didn't want to overnight anyway. As I came up the gate agent had my boarding pass in hand and I got on. I was extremely happy that they actually held the flight for me and this is a first (even though a lady behind me was on the same flight...she didn't run and they didn't wait for her.) At any rate I didn't expect my bag to make it and was fine with that. They said I'd have it the next day. A few days later they've tried to deliver my bag a few times but the bag wasn't mine each time. I feel bad for the lady that United keeps giving the bag to because these bags even have some other passengers name on the tag and not mine. How long on average does it take for one to get their bag back? There are a few things in there that I somewhat need and it's getting a little annoying that it's taking this long.

And just out of curiosity it said the reason we left late was aircraft delayed. Is that just another way of saying that they actually just held the plane for a few late connecting pax? It was the last flight of the night.
