I'm not opposed to negative criticism of AA. With the recent changes we've all engaged in that lately. There is huge difference between constructive contributions - positive or negative - and just showing up to take potshots to gauge the reaction. Starting threads like another "When is AA going bankrupt?" does nothing to contribute, just to inflame. I'm sure this would not be appreciated/tolerated on the other forums for very long either. I appreciate a good discussion or argument as much as the next person, but to simply add to a thread that the subject in question could never happen on Airline X without really understanding the ongoing discussion or having a vested interest in its resolution contributes little. The AA forum has become the excellent resource it is by the thoughtful, considered contributions of those who do have a vested interest in the well-being of AA and FlyerTalk. I just hope it stays that way.
