I live in Bedfont and have a very good view from my TV chair. Particularly landings on 27L. Its a daily occurrence and quite impressive.

Only onboard once into LGW and I cant say that I enjoyed it (not an experienced flyer at the time).

On my honeymoon into SEZ (BA flew a 747 there at the time) the captain announced on approach that there was a squall coming in and it might "get a bit rock and roll" but not to worry if we had to go around. He managed to slam it down just ahead of the rain.
