This is not true - you always need to clear customs/immigrations there even on HNL-GUM / GUM-HNL routes. Lines, especially during the early morning hours, can be long with limited staff checking things out. CO will do it's best to get you to where you need to be... although all passengers need to reclear security. When in doubt, track down a CO Mike employee and let them know what's what --they'll do their best to get you through in a hurry.
