Even with this you will still be ahead even if they decided to announce the end 2 years into the 4 years membership since 2.5 years AC access would have cost that much. It's a bit of a risk, but I can't see them ending it while the 1 world alliance is around.

I agree 100%-- if the agreement was terminated in the next 2-3 years (which I certainly don't expect either) I'd still be very happy with my decision. I feel the risk in minimal-- but then again I bought a lifetime CO President's Club membership a few years back (two price increases ago) and swore that was a great deal at the time.

In any case, I think the "life" QantasClub membership would be a "risk" (although a great deal,) but a 4-year membership really isn't too much of one, IMHO.
