Boston hotel prices. Help.

Not sure if this is the place to post this but I need a little help finding a decent rate for Boston for Oct 1 & 2 this year.

I made 2 ressie already holding out for something better from Priceline but no luck yet. So what do you pros think? I've got a ressie for Courtyard by the Airport for $200 a night with free parking and a ressie for Residence Inn on the Wharf for $269 plus parking as a backup. The problem is we need 3 rooms and that comes to $1800 for 2 nights.

I've only stayed in the Custom house in the past but the rates are ridiculous at $550 so that's out of the question unless I get lucky enough to get it on Priceline.

I've been bidding $200 for a 3-4 star and get no matches for the last 2 weeks. Am I really bidding too low? It seems that everyone I know who has used Priceline gets such great deals but I've been having zero luck.

Any suggestions? Am I bidding wrong? I picked Faneuil Hall area and Back Bay area, Beacon Hill.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
