I just find it weird that on the Continental website they have the correct seating plans with the seat availability matching the United website. It just doesn't want to save the information. If it just said "we can't assign seats, please contant United" that's fine, but it makes you think that you can!
if you select a seat on co.com then hit next it does assign you the seat however your record on co.com will not be updated but if you go back to the seating chart the new seat will show as occupied. i have tried this several times in the past 10 days.
