It's worth looking at the other oneworld schemes and their non-alliance partners to see if there is any leverage there. I've found AA useful for dumping Gulf Air (amongst others). If nothing appeals I'd use the QF account as oneday the miles might add up to something (though it will be a long time looking at the frightening number of miles needed for some awards).
