I'm hoping to get some advice or recommendations from my "fellow" GLBT FT'ers on fabulous apartments in Barcelona. I don't see too much on FT and it seems that there are thousands of apartments available from many different sites. Starts to become overwhelming.

In November my GF and I are taking my mom, who is turning 80, for her birthday. This is our gift to her so I really want it to be special. I was able to secure Business class flights with miles so that part is done, yay!

I want to be centrally located (but not directly on or just off the Ramblas) and in an area where we can walk to most sites or access PT within a short walk. I'm looking for a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom property. I've only rented an apartment once before, in Paris, and it was great, so I thought it would be a good idea for 3 people traveling togther.

Also as a side note, we'd like to have one really nice dinner to celebrate on her birthday. Any ideas? It doesn't need to be ultra fancy, just really good food of course, and a nice atmosphere.
