These numbers are what AC anticipated at the start of this current benefits year, March 1st, 2001, so Cdn+ members are rolled in. I suspect that at the elite levels, there was a high degree of overlap in that just about every Cdn+ elite would have at least had an Aeroplan account, and those who were Gold or ExecPlat were likely to be at least Prestige and possibly Elite in AC's program. So there'd have been a small increase in SuperElites from Cdn+ ExecPlats, but a much larger jump in the number of Elites, since both Q-mile accounts for 2000 were rolled together.

One can probably anticipate, due to the two Q-mile promos AC ran this spring, that a good many Prestiges have moved up to Elite already, or will do so by the end of the year, and not a few others have moved from Elite to SuperElite, or will be doing so in the coming months.
