We would like to go to the Marriott with the best lounge (presumably, as a Gold member, we would have automatic access to the lounge).
I agree the CH lounge is ordinary at best; GH is much nicer.
The BEST in my opinion, though, is West India Quay; if only for the sunset view west over the City of London (assuming there is a sunset).
This property gets little discussion as it is perceived as "out of central London", but the DLR to Bank takes just a few minutes.

Apologies for pedantry, but traditionally the centre of London is measured as the site of the original Charing (Eleanor) Cross; just to confuse matters this is not the replica outside the railway station, but the position now occupied by the Charles I statue in Trafalgar Square. Google Maps suggests this is a 20 min walk from RCC, but only 13 mins from CH. YMMV, of course.
