Whatever you do, figure out some way to get the CP if you have someone to serve as a Companion. Best deal in the FF world, IMO. Rent a car in vain several times, stay twice at crummy Choice hotels for 8000 points (I think they brought that back) = 2 credits, etc.

Remember, of course, that the credits scroll off your account individually after 12 months, so you don't lose them all at once.
Thanks Toomanybooks. I'm thinking that I might use the Marriott points, as they're not my main program and I have ~330K. I value and use my SPG and Hyatt points a lot more.
I agree that the CP is the best deal in the industry. I'm looking at taking 3-4 SW flights that my wife will accompany me on...the value of those tickets will easily be $1,000...for 70K Marriott points, that's a pretty good deal, IMHO!
I may need to investigate the rolling aspect of the CP first...need to maximize my time with the CP.
Any idea how long it takes to transfer Marriott points to SPG?
