Appears that the Mission Inn in Pismo Beach is being coverted into a HGI - hilton.com shows a scheduled opening of January 2011. The Mission Inn website is still up and allows for reservations thru into January 2011 irrespective.

The 120 rooms maps directly to the number listed for the Mission Inn and the "hotel brochure" shows a PDF stating that the 120 rooms "include four ocean view suites, 4 family suites as well as garden level patio rooms. The suites provide spacious accommodations with separate living rooms and the family suites include two sleeping rooms and two separate restrooms."

Let's see what they price these rooms for - Mission Inn shows rates from $139 midweek thru $199 on the weekends.

This opening and the (eventual) Hampton Inn Arroyo Grande opening later in 2011 might give the Embassy Suites SLO some competition for HHonors members.
