I'm one of those people who do eat shorthaul C meals.

I think it all depends on the route (not just the length of flight but also any competition) and time of day. Yes, meals on OS are always nicer but LH is a profitable airline and OS is not.

Here are some LH C meals between MAN and FRA/MUC with more recent ones first.
