Nope, not closed. I was there two weeks ago. When you enter the hotel you go to the main lobby where you can ask one of the employees there to give you access to the club lounge check-in. The lounge attendants are absolutely lovely! I was just talking to my partner earlier that of all the hotels we've been to in Asia this summer, the GH Guangzhou is the one that stands out most and only due to the lovely service we got.
There's hot breakfast and hot evening snacks which are enough for a proper meal in my opinion, I'm sure you will enjoy it!
